Central banks are public bodies
Though they operate separately from the goverment finance or treasury departments, central banks are public bodies1 and they generally return the profits from their operations to the fiscal authorities.
The main objective of Central bank
The primary objective of the centrab bank is to achive and maintain price stability.
CBRT other duties include carrying out:
- Open market transactions
- Taking the necessary measures to protect the domestic and international value of Turkish currency.
- Managing gold and foreign exchange reserves.
- Regulationg the volume and circulation of Turkish currency.
- Coducting rediscount and advance operations.
- Taking the necessary precautions to enhance stability in the financial markets.
- Monitoring financial markets.
Money creation

- CB is responsible for the demand management
- Goverment Fiscal Polisy is responsible for the Long term structural growth and employment.
